Key Types of Cordless Batteries
Over the years, cordless power tool batteries have evolved, and three main types dominate the market:
- Nickel-Cadmium (NiCd): This is an older technology. NiCd batteries are durable and can handle deep discharges, but they are heavier and suffer from a “memory effect” where their capacity can decrease if they are recharged before being fully drained.
